Meet up Mondays
Cafe @ The Rec now hosts a 'Meet up Monday' (MUM) which take place every Monday from 10am to 12 midday. MUM events are set up to help people struggling with isolation to join together in a welcoming environment. #cafe #wecan #community #therec

The Rec FUNDAY
On August 5th we held a fantastic funday at the Rec in Stowemarket. It was an amazing turn out despite the English weather not behaving itself. It was great to see all types of people from the community come out to have some good old fun. Our customers and users of the recreation ground told us that they would like better family/toddler/baby changing facilities. So with the permission of Stowmarket Town Council, the help of volunteers, Cathy Walker Cage and family, a generous donation of paint and decorating equipment from Wickes Stowmarket and a changing table from The Mix we are hoping to have the new facility ready for families to use on Carnival Day. Grand Opening @ The Rec
The Rec Cafe had it's official opening celebration on Tuesday 12th July and it was a brilliant event! The free afternoon tea went down a treat, with delicious homemade cakes and sandwiches all beautifully presented by the Cafe's Team and the chilled out atmosphere was accompanied by some talented acoustic guitar.
